En el año de 1978, al iniciase un nuevo asentamiento humano, a orillas de la carretera transpeninsular, un grupo proveniente de el lugar llamado “Las Granjas”, vinieron a tomar posesión de unos  lotes,  llamándole a este lugar, Ejido el Papalote, en este grupo venían algunos hermanos, que pertenecían, a la 1ra. Iglesia de San Quintín, esos hermanos empezaron a realizar reuniones bajo la dirección del  Hno. Ramón García Márquez (finado), quien inicio en lugares muy humildes, casi a la intemperie  y en casas de personas inconversas, pasándose después a casa de el Hno. Antonio Heredia (finado), pero a causa de el mal tiempo y el intenso frio el culto fue cambiado a un pequeño cuarto de el hogar de los hermanos  Domingo Duarte y su esposa Hna.
